Launching Spring 2026
3rd & 4th Grade Little League Lacrosse
What to Expect
The Kentucky Lacrosse League (KLL) is designed for 3rd and 4th grade teams for the spring 2026 season.
School-Based Teams
KLL is primarily a school-based league. Schools or school representatives may enter teams on their own or combine with other schools if needed (all combinations must be approved by the league).
For players who do not currently have a school team, we will help place them so every player has an opportunity to play, either on a house team or with an existing program.
School lacrosse is the foundation of how the sport is introduced and grown throughout Louisville and beyond, and this league is built to support that model.
Consistent Standards
All teams in KLL will follow league-wide standards to ensure a fair, organized, and competitive experience. Each team must:
-
Have a head coach and assistant coach(es)
-
Have a designated home practice field
-
Offer weekly practices throughout the season
Each team will have a dedicated page on KentuckyLacrosseLeague.com and will be included in the league’s TeamSnap account for streamlined communication. This allows league-wide messages to be sent when needed and helps families easily access team and league information, while keeping communication efficient and consistent for coaches and directors.
The league will follow a consistent schedule, with games played on Sundays between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM. All games will be played on turf fields, minimizing weather-related cancellations and delays whenever possible.
Uniforms & Professionalism
KLL will operate a league-wide online store, open 24/7, 365 days a year, to handle all uniform needs. This ensures a consistent, professional look across the league and eliminates uniform issues. Coaches will simply assign jersey numbers to players.
Coach Support
The League will host a coaches’ clinic for all parent coaches and provide ongoing support throughout the season. Parent coaches play a vital role in player development, and supporting them is a top priority for KLL.
Player Development
KLL will offer player clinics and youth jamborees before the start of the season to help players learn the game, build confidence, and get excited for league play. We will also be offering free Learn Lacrosse clinics for new players.
KLL Goals
Present Goal:
To create a league that players and parents look forward to year after year—one that maintains the fun of school lacrosse while promoting the growth of the game across the city.
Future Goal:
To continue building and improving the league annually, with the long-term vision of providing an organized, respected, and sought-after school-based lacrosse league for the entire state of Kentucky.
